This listing is for a gently used VPI Aries 2 turntable. This item has been tested and is in 100% operational condition. Motor is smooth and quiet, speed is correct checked with strobe disc, belt is in good shape, clamp works perfectly.
Inverted bearing well and spindle throughly cleaned of all old lubricant. I used SuperLube synthetic oil as a replacement you may need to add some more or clean it out and use your choice. The bearing and spindle are in excellent shape and the platter spins concentrically with no wobble.
This is factory cut for SME tonearms. This has the VPI SME adapter which can be removed and the plinth can potentially be utilized for other arms with a custom fabricated mounting plate as an option.
Cosmetic condition is top notch with very little signs of use. Gloss black paint beautiful, platter super clean with a very fresh appearance. Stand alone motor and housing just as nice with no detriment. This is top notch example that was very well taken care of by the original owner and it shows, you would not be disappointed.
I have the factory part A shipping carton with all inserts for the plinth. I will pack the motor and plater in a separate new ULINE heavy duty carton for safe shipping.
