Description
This Realistic turntable was manufactured in Japan in 1978 by CEC , a division of Sanyo. It was the first Realistic model sourced from them andreviewers called it highly under-rated and perhaps the best sounding turntable ever sold by Radio Shack. Solid, heavy construction and attractive cosmetics.
This is from the "silver" era when build quality was very high, even with inexpensive products. Nothing like the cheap and light-weight construction that
came to dominate dominate the market by the mid-1980's and thereafter.
.
The Lab-300 is a classic belt drive turntable with a powerful 4- pole synchronous motor and a high quality S-shaped tone arm.
Will track well at 1.5 grams. Fitted with a classic PickeringXV-15 625E cartridge with elliptical stylus. Copy of manual included.
Available for examination and pick-up at The Sound Parcel Music Showroom in Easton, PA (Lehigh Valley).
