    Description

Vintage NAD 5120 Turntable w/ Boston Acoustics MC-1 vdH phono cartridge
This is the classic 'Floppy Tonearm' model (it's not
    actually
floppy) that caused such a stir in the audio world when it debuted in 1983 (included is a Feb 1984 copy of
    Audio
magazine that tests and reviews this unique piece of audio esoterica, as well as the Boston Acoustics MC-1 vdH). Still looks and works great, and with the Boston Acoustics MC-1 vdH cartridge installed, it still sounds great too. This is a high-output moving coil with nude-mounted premium Van den Hul stylus that was designed for maximum contact with the record groove walls, for best musical information retrieval and fidelity, plus minimum wear of one's precious vinyl albums as a bonus. Turntable comes with original box as well as the outer-box and presentation case for the MC-1, plus alignment tool. Best of all, you can enjoy >75% DEFLATION compared to original combined cost of 5 in 1983 Cdn Dollars, not to mention all the included accessories. That's before adjusting for 40 years of monetary inflation!
Has been stored indoors in original box, dustbag and packaging since ~1996. Was used very infrequently after ~1988 once I got my second CD player (first really good one). Was unpacked, tested and photographed for this listing, then right back in bag, styrofoam cradles and box with listed accessories.
Transport screw (easily operated with fingers) on bottom of turntable has been tightened down for shipping. Be sure to untighten before attempting to play any albums.
    Bonus
    Accessories
    :
"Pod" record clamp and original "Dust Bug" dust cleaner, vinyl deionizer 'gun' (neutralizes static charges) and stylus downforce gauge.
Everything you need to bring classic vinyl back to life the way it was meant to be.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to own one of the most innovative audio products of all time, along with the sweet-sounding Boston Acoustics MC-1 vdH and a host of useful accessories.
