This Bang & Olufsen Beogram 2402 turntable is in excellent condition, functionally and visually. It is fitted with an MMC 20E cartridge. The MMC 20E carries a framed elliptical diamond. This series of cartridges and tonearms was renowned for their unusually low Effective Tip Mass (ETM). Per Beoworld.com,
This means that your records would suffer very little wear, even after continual playing. Neither would they be damaged if the stylus was accidentally skidded across the surface.

The fully automatic deck and cartridge perform superbly on my Klipsch Cornwall speakers. This beautiful turntable is in very nice condition. I have been through the mechanicals, electronics, and cosmetics. For an updated, more modern appearance, this deck has the slate grey trim around the base. I have done my best to provide good photos.

Bang & Olufsen's cartridges were represented by the MMC 20 series. MMC stands for 'Moving Micro-Cross'; the patented moving-iron principle upon which all B&O cartridges were based. B&O's belief was that each stage of cartridge improvement would bring each successive cartridge closer to the ideal. The MMC20 series therefore represented the closest that modern technology at that time, could possibly afford.
The MMC 20E combined cartridge/stylus from Bang & Olufsen was fitted with a “E” framed elliptical diamond with high polish, mounted on a tiny aluminum cantilever. It provided superior performance than the MMC20S and MMC10E cartridges.
This turntable has twin RCA plugs (not DIN) and a ground for connection to your receiver’s phono inputs.
