Technics SL-QL5 Linear Tracking Direct-Drive Turntable (For Parts)

Description

With power connected and power switch pressed, this vintage turntable has a single red light illuminated (Pic 5). Otherwise, the turntable is not working and is sold as non-functional, for parts or repair. Turntable operates on North American power (120V/60Hz) and has original power cable included with North American plug.
The unit is in good cosmetic condition with wear (scuffs/marks/scratches). Also, it could use some cleaning. Please note that turntable rubber mat is not pliable in some areas. These areas on the mat are hard and lifting up when the mat is on the platter (Pic 7). When a record is placed on the mat, the record is raised because the mat is uneven. Even if the turntable was in working condition, I do not believe it would be able to work properly unless the current mat is replaced.
