    The 1964 Navy game
Both quarterbacks – Navy's Staubach and Army's Stichweh were seniors and this time the laurels went to Stichweh. Rollie passed to Sam Champi for Army's touchdown and the Army defense sacked Staubach in the end zone for a safety. Although Navy came back before the half to tie the score, Barry Nickerson's fourth quarter field goal gave Army the 11-8 victory.
    Carl Roland Stichweh '65
Three-time varsity letterwinner as a member of Army's football team. Standout at quarterback, halfback and defensive back positions. Also returned punts and kicks. Most valuable player and top performer of 1963 and 1964 Army Navy games, Touchdown run against Navy in 1963 became first play ever broadcast via television instant replay.
