    Seljuqs of Rum, 1236-1245 AD, Kaykhusrau II, silver dirham 23mm, 2.9 gm, famed lion and sun motif. One of the few pictorial types of silver Islamic coins of the medieval period. Attractive and clear specimen, larger flan than usual really shows off the design, nice peripheral toning of blues and gold.
