Sabtronics Model 2000 Digital Multimeter with Test Leads

Offered as is. These Digital Multimeters were available in kit form in the 70's. The meter is complete. It comes with a 50 page Assembly and Operations Manual. The Manual is like a Heathkit Manual. All the individual components are listed and the assembly is described in detail. There is a circuit description and a pictorial of the printed circuit board with component placement. Upon assembly there are two calibration procedures. One if you have no other test equipment and one if you have test equipment found in a typical electronics lab. There is also a troubleshooting section. These meters utilize 4 "c" cells which last about 25 hours. On this particular unit the digits light up ok but I got nothing when measuring voltage or Ohms. If you are experienced and interested you will enjoy putting this meter back in service. I would not recommend it to a novice as it would probably frustrate you. It comes with a pair of inexpensive test leads.
