This impressive 2 Oz Silver coin is dedicated to the Quadrivium, the base of studies in medieval universities. The coin has Antique Finish quality and features a beautiful design in High Relief with partial coloration and selective Gilding. It comes in a case, along with the Certificate of Authenticity. Limited mintage of 500 pieces worldwide!
The reverse of the coin depicts four women in a medieval castle, each one representing one of the four muses of the Quadrivium. The Quadrivium is
a system of education based on four pillars corresponding to contemporary arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and music. The women wear typical medieval dresses and are associated with a symbol of the science they represent. At the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: “Quadrivium” – the name of the coin. The obverse of the coin presents a concentric pattern with a medieval theme and the inscriptions: “RHETORICA”, “DIALECTICA”, “ASTRONOMIA”, “MUSICA”, “GEOMETRIA”, “ARITHMETICA” and “GRAMMATICA”. In the inner circle, the inscriptions: “TRIVIUM QUADRIVIUM” and “Septem Artes Libertales”. At the center of the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Cameroon and the inscriptions: “REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN” – the country of issue, “2022” – the year of issue and “2000 FRANCS CFA” – the face value of the coin.
