Oracle Delphi MKII Gold/Black Turntable ETII Tonearm Special for Brooks Berdan

Description

This is a special, collector's item, gold plated and black turntable made by the Oracle company in Canada especially for Brooks Berdan.  In the late 1980s Brooks, who had great mechanical-engineering talents, while working at an audio store in Pasadena, CA, created and developed a modification known as "The Brooks Mod" for the Oracle Delphi turntable.  This "Mod" was, in addition to other factors, essentially a heavy, round stainless steel billet installed at a strategic location on the turntable, that enabled a much more accurate and more easily attained critical suspension balance, and a far better turntable sonic performance, especially in bass tightness and authority.
Oracle company executives recognized this remarkable improvement and successfully adapted this "Brooks Mod" change to future Delphi manufacture.  They rewarded Brooks by gifting him this special Gold/Black Delphi II turntable (original outer and inner boxes and packaging included).
Brooks, now deceased, was a great and lifelong friend of mine, and I acquired this turntable/tonearm assembly from him about twelve years ago.  Although I never played this turntable, using it only as a showpiece (please see my music room photo), prior to my ownership Brooks installed the Eminent Technology II air bearing tonearm and did operate the turntable for demonstration at his audio store in Monrovia, CA.  Therefore, it is categorized in this ad as used.
Please note that although the turntable is complete with motor (see photo), I do not have the AC/DC converter plug-in wire; it is not included but should be easily obtained.  The drive belt is included.
Oracle Delphi owners manual and Oracle Trans Audio suspension set-up guide are included.
