The Speed Drive was designed to speed-up the attachment hub drive speed. The drive has a
speed increasing ratio of 3.37 to 1
, allowing
you to run your mixer in lower gears and get 3 times the speed out of 1st gear.
This will
save wear and tear on your mixer
while getting your prep done
faster.
The Speed Drive is
s
pecifically
intended for driving low torque
attachments like the 9” Hobart vegetable slicer to slice, shred or grate; cheese, vegetables, fruits, etc.
THE
DRIVE SHOULD NOT BE OPERATED OVER 850 RPM
. Only lower gears should be used
as
the high speeds on your mixer will damage the internal gears.
In addition,
the speed drive is not intended for
high torque
usage like
grinding
or chopping
.
