The 177 model is a leader in it's day and is still advanced compared to many of the newer models. It is highly favored by professional engineers, techs, hams and students.... AND the military! Few meters can equal that! This is one of those meters that will pay for itself with the first usages. This meter is fully supported by EBay's Buyer Protection Policy.... no questions asked!
The Top
and bottom case are
nice. The bottom case does have an ID# on the side. The lens is in GREAT condition with little wear showing and the display is in great shape and has many good years of service ahead. New and tested are the battery and fuses. It comes with a set of new probes, a Simpson 10 amp shunt, Simpson 5k extender probe (note the shunt and probe will need adapters) and Fluke Manual.
Too many times, meters are sold on Ebay which do have the battery or you get one that is depleted. The fuses are either missing or blown (price the Fluke meter fuses.... even on Ebay they are very expensive). This meter has a NEW battery and fuses, so you don't get burned thinking you have a bargain!
I have shown this meter with accessories and with inputs from my Fluke 515A meter calibrator of 1 VDC, 10 VAC input.

Please be advised**** The fuses in this unit have been tested in 2 manners. First, by passing a known current through the meter fused circuits and Second, by testing them in the non-destructive manner (before the meter goes out) as prescribed by Fluke. This second process tests the fuses inside the unit by putting the meter in the ohms function and then placing one end of a probe in the positive jack and the other end in the designated current port. The fuse can safely be tested without ANY chance of blowing the fuse because it uses the meter's own circuit AND VERY small current.
