Description

KM TnB6, one year type, emergency coinage issued by the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Bone.  Five cent size copper-nickel coin, with Liberty on the obverse.
The economic disaster affecting France after World War I also affected her colonies.  The chambers of commerce of several mainland French cities issued emergency coinage to enable commerce to continue; some chambers of commerce of colonies did so as well.  In the United States, the emergency coinage (or notgeld) of Germany is often available; the emergency money of France is more difficult to locate.  Except for the emergency coinage from Alger, the emergency money of the French colonies is rarely encountered.
