Description
This circuit can convert the input analog voltage into a 3-digit half 8421BCD code and display the value through 4 digital tubes.Introduction to working principle
(1) MC14433 is a dual-integration A/D converter that converts the input analog voltage into a 3-bit half 8421BCD code.
(2) Reference power supply MC1403, providing precision voltage, making reference voltage of A/D converter
(3) Seven-segment decoder CD4511 converts 8421BCD code into seven-segment drive signal
(4) Display drivers V1 - V4, driving the common end of the three-and-a-half digit digital display.
(5) Three-and-a-half-digit display, digitally display the seven-segment signal of the output of the decoder, and read out the A/D conversion result. The three digits refer to the ones, the ten digits, and the hundred digits range from 0-9. The half digits refer to the thousands digits which can only be 0 or 1. They cannot be changed from 0 to 9. So they are called half digits.
