This auction is for ten (10) hatching eggs from a collection of rare crested chicken breeds.
and are shipped directly from Greenfire Farms’ imported chicken flocks. Here’s your chance to hatch and raise a collection of the world’s rarest feather crested chicken breeds!

By bidding you are creating a legally binding contract. Do not place a bid for higher than what you are willing to pay if you win this auction. All unpaid buyers will be blocked from bidding on our auctions and reported.
We ship eggs to you via Priority Mail within the continental United States for a flat rate of .
Eggs will be held at the post office for pick-up unless otherwise requested.
WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THE HATCH RATE OF THE EGGS YOU WILL RECEIVE!
Your results will be anywhere from 0%-100%. You are bidding on ten EGGS not ten chicks!
What we
cannot
control:
-Shipping conditions (i.e. rough handling, exposure to extreme temperatures, delays, x-ray machines)
-Conditions under which you incubate your eggs (including equipment failure and negligence).
-Abrupt and unpredicted changes in mating and egg laying.
-Knowing if a particular egg was actually fertilized at the time of lay without cracking it open, rendering the egg useless (unless you’re hungry for an omelet).
What we
can
control:
-Setting auctions only for breeds that we ourselves are currently hatching successfully.
-Closely monitoring environmental conditions that would cause reduced fertility.
-Keeping an appropriate rooster to hen ratio based on activity level of individual breeds.
-Including 10 fresh and unbroken eggs.
-Clearly marking egg boxes for the postal service to avoid possible rough handling, extreme temperatures and x-ray machines.
Have your equipment ready and in working condition before you place your bid. You are responsible for properly incubating your eggs.
Eggs will ship as soon as we can fill the order. This will be the Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday that immediately follows the close of auction (with cleared payment) unless less eggs were laid than predicted.
DO NOT USE THE ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATES PROVIDED BY EBAY. We do not enter those estimated dates! You do not select your ship date for eggs and we do NOT sell hatching eggs in advance. Hatching eggs are perishable. Therefore, we cannot hold eggs to ship at a later date. Multiple orders cannot be combined into one shipment and are NOT guaranteed to ship on the same day.
Payment should be made promptly after the auction closes to prevent delay in shipping the freshest eggs possible. Requests for upgrading the shipping to USPS Priority Express must be made prior to paying your invoice. Any requests made to upgrade the shipping after payment is sent CANNOT be honored. Please send us a message as soon as the auction closes, but before making payment, so we can adjust the invoice during normal business hours. Expect an additional charge of - (depending on location).
NPIP: 58-1156-E. A copy of the NPIP VS form 9-3 will be included for your records. We will file a copy with the state. This is required.
The Crested Rare Breed Egg Collection consists of ten (10) eggs and may include any crested breed of chicken that we keep on the farm. Breeds that might be included are cream Legbar, Flarry Eye Grey, Lyonnaise, Pavlovskaya, white crested cuckoo Polish, Quail Brabanconne, Spitzhauben, Sulmtaler or any other crested breed we keep on the farm!
The eggs you receive will be selected by farm staff, and no requests for specific breeds to be included or excluded can be accommodated.
However, we guarantee that you will receive eggs from at least three (3) different chicken breeds and no more than six (6) eggs from any one breed. The eggs you receive will have numbers written on the shell. You will receive a list of the breeds that are included with your order to correctly identify the eggs. Please note: We occasionally hatch
Quail Brabanconne
chicks that vary in color. If you hatch a
Quail Brabanconne
chick that is chipmunk striped or cream colored, it should not be used in your breeding program. We do not offer refunds if you hatch one of these chicks. As with any structured breeding program, you should expect to make culls.
