Comoros Islands KM3 Five Francs AH 1308 (1890). Very rare only-year-of-type with a mintage of just 2050 pieces. This particular specimen shows no real wear but has been cleaned a long time ago. It is now retoning in hues of light violet and blue with heavier patches in some areas. A detailed close inspection will reveal minimal surface marks but the look is largely prooflike under the toning. As for everything we sell, it is guaranteed totally genuine and our asking price should be attractive enough for anyone wanting this rare type in his collection.
