Compared to other sellers,
our LED strips use larger and brighter 5050 SMD LED chips. Be careful and look closely. Some sellers use smaller 3528 LED chips but their photos show the larger 5050 LED chips. 3528 LED chips have a single light emitter built in whereas our 5050 LED chips have 3 light emitters built in.

Some important guidelines for installing LED strips:
These strips are very flexible. However, you should not bend them at sharp angles or you risk damaging the solder connections that hold the LED chips to the circuit ribbon inside. This type of damage isn't covered under warranty.
Do not bend the LED strips "against the grain" or along the short edge.
Make sure the power going to the LED strip is turned off when you charge your boat's battery. LEDs are very sensitive to over-voltage and will burn out instantly if too much voltage is applied. Battery chargers often give a voltage spike when initially connected to the battery. LEDs are safe up to 14.5v.
Make sure the mounting surface is thoroughly clean. If the LED strips are to be applied to a smooth, painted surface, rough up the surface first for best adhesion. Depending on the mounting surface, you may need to use a stronger adhesive. The most common is 3m double sided body molding tape available at most auto part stores.

Can be cut between the copper solder pads as shown below. Solder pads are spaced at every 2 inches. To reuse leftover strip, trim off clear rubber coating over the solder pads and solder on wires.
Rolls are shipped on a plastic reel, in anti static bag as well as a bubble lined package for safe shipping. LED strip is tested immediately before shipping.
