ASTRONAUT Barbie Doll #2449 in Box Mattel 1985 Malaysia

Description

"Astronaut Barbie" #2449 is a lovely Barbie doll with the Superstar face sculpt that was manufactured in the Malaysia for Mattel circa 1985-86.  "We girls can do anything!"  She was the first Barbie doll that was sold as an astronaut.  Though she has been removed from her packaging, Barbie appears UN-played with.  She comes with  her original box and is still attached to her liner with accessories and paperwork.  Her accessories are still baggy sealed.  Her gray plastic backpack has detached from its liner.  Her box sustains wear, tear, edge wear, scotch taping, and crumpling from age and storage.  Its plastic window is dinged, scuffed, and unsealing from its cardboard sides.  Her box should probably be thrown away.  The elastic band in Barbie's hair has broken, so Barbie's hair will need restyling into its original set.  She and her box smell dusty.  Barbie is UN-used!
