ANTIQUE Victorian Gold Filled Repousse Photo Locket Necklace - Ladies Bar and Link Watch Chain - Swivel Hook - SIGNED C & Q R
This is a beautiful petite size Art Nouveau to Edwardian period antique locket made by Carter Qvarnstrom & Remington, also known as CQ & R. The piece has a high relief repousse image of a young woman, her head bowed and her flowing hair swept back.
The tiny locket measures 3/4 of an inch in diameter and opens to reveal the original frames and yellowed celluloid covers. The inside is marked CQ & R mark with the initials inside a triangle. The piece has a rich, bright bloomed gold finish. The locket is in lovely condition with no dents.
This little cameo locket is attached to an antique watch chain with swivel hook. The beautiful bar link chain measures approx 17 inches to the jump ring connector and has a 3 inch drop to the end of the locket. The color of the gold on the chain and Locket is so lovely, with a rich beautiful patina. The overall condition on this beautiful piece is excellent, with very minor age related wear. Gorgeous piece of antique assemblage jewelry.
