This section is a cover sheet for the Am-phenol Tele-Pierce 356/246 Termination
Tool. GAEL 1545-1 authorizes the use of this tool
in Pacific Company.

The attached instruction provides descriptive and operating information for the Am-phenol Termination Tool.
1.04 The termination tool is designed to permit field installation of 25-pair connectors
on "D" inside wiring cable. The connectors to be used with this tool are manufactured by Amphenol, but are compatible with the KS-16689, L3 plug and the KS-16690, L1 connector now in use.
1.05 If corrections are required in the manufacturer's instructions, use Form E 3973-1PT
as described in Section 000-010-901PT to process the correct information.
1.06 If equipment design and/or manufacturing problems should occur, refer to Section
010-700-010PT for procedures on how to file an Engineering Complaint.
1.07 When revised instructions reflect changes due to modification of equipment, retain the superseded information until the equipment is modified.
2. MAINTENANCE
2.01 The Amphenol Termination Tool is warranted for one year from date of purchase
by Amphenol.
2.02 Minor repairs, such as replacing combs or cutter bars, may be made in the field. For
major repairs the tool should be returned to:
