These rare and beautiful birds are highly prized for exhibition purposes and for their beautiful large chocolate colored eggs.Blue Birchen Marans are one of the rarest types of Marans. This breed is also sometimes referred to as Black Silver Marans or just Silver Marans. They lay beautiful brown eggs that resemble the color of a terra-cotta planting pot. The eggs often have a light speckling to them. The roosters are regal and proud, yet very gentle. Hens are neatly built and good layers. The feathers are stunning on both sexes, particularly the blue hens. This breed carries the blue gene and can come in blue, black, or splash color patterns. When ordering chicks you could receive one or all of these colors. If you love Marans these will make a great addition to your flock.

As with all internet purchases of hatching eggs, hatch rates can not be guaranteed as there is no way to control the handling of eggs by the post office, However, our shipping includes FREE Insurance, up to 50.00 by USPS, should the eggs be negligently damaged in transit by USPS.
