Description

This coin pays tribute to Margaret Thatcher, “The Iron Lady” after her death in 2013.
She was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during the turbulent times in the Falkland Islands.
She is one of the toughest “Top-100” women to find on coins.
This is a large copper-nickel coin with blue iridescent toning in the fields and a attractive picture of Margaret Thatcher with Big Ben and the House of Parliament in the background on the right and Number 10 Downing Street on the left.
The obverse features an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Lord of Man making this another “two-fer”.
