    Description

    (12)
Rare PASTEL Celadon blue Coturnix quail hatching eggs. We select only the best quality blue eggs to ship. Some may have small speckles, but the majority are a clear aqua marine blue. Celadon blue eggs yield blue egg layers, some non-blue layers, and males that carry the blue egg gene.
These eggs are all from Celadon blue layers that are light pastel, pastel tuxedo, buff, buff tuxedo, sexable pastel wild pattern, and sometimes

. All pastel colors of hens are housed with Celadon blue males of the same color. These eggs do not hatch true, but they should result in mostly light colors of Celadon blue chicks. If extra eggs are included, they may be from other special Celadon blue colors.
    Our Birds
We keep separate breeding pens for each type/color of bird. However, chicks from blue eggs will be a variety of colors. Our quail are kept in deep litter pens instead of wire, which can be hard on their feet. Deep liter most closely replicates the ground they would live on in nature and they have a much happier and healthier existence. Additionally, they have one square foot or more per bird, and we maintain a breeding ration of 1 male for every 4-5 hens.
    Our Blue Flock
Our flock of Celadon blue layers has the widest variety of colors. We have equal numbers of Pastel, Buff, Red, Tuxedo, Tibetan, Jumbo Brown, and Silver blue layers. Currently we only sell Pastel Blue separately. All other Celadon blue orders will include an assortment of these colors.
    Egg Quality
We take care to preserve the viability of our eggs. Eggs will be mostly clean but unwashed. Excessively soiled eggs are discarded. We collect eggs twice daily and ship no later than two days after they are laid. After collection, eggs are stored in a cool place and tilted several times a day to keep the air bubble from sticking. We also do regular hatches to test viability.
    Shipping
Eggs are shipped USPS Priority in foam egg shippers to protect from breakage. We ship strategically to assure you get the freshest eggs possible.
