    Description

RAINBOW MIX RARE BREED HATCHING EGGS. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Your Rainbow Hatching Egg Mix will include a variety (at least three different breeds/crosses) from those listed below, and will be at least 50% blue or green layers and at least 50% pure breeds.
    NATURALLY RAISED
Our flocks are fed organic feeds, free-ranged and pastured with plenty of access to fresh greens and bugs. We house them in mobile, open-air coops, provide sky-harvested or highly filtered water (if the sky-harvest runs out), and give them plenty of human interaction and love. We raise females and males together in natural groups until chosen and separated for breeding or laying flocks. We believe this results in better socialization and happier birds, better health and production.
    OUR BREEDS
    Cream Legbars
This breed, created by British geneticists Punnett & Pease through the Cambridge University Breeding Program, will add both beauty and practicality to any flock. They are dual-purpose, auto-sexing, lay luminous blue and green eggs, and are some of the friendliest birds we’ve ever raised.
    Silverudd’s Blues
Silverudd’s Blues are a fascinating BBS breed first imported from Sweden in 2011. Chicks may hatch in three colors - blue, black and splash . This hardy production breed lays a wide spectrum of greens, sometimes speckled! We are one of only a handful of farms in the U.S. with a certified OO flock (homozygous for the blue egg gene which guarantees no tan layers).
    Black Copper Marans
Originally hailing from the port city of Marans, France, this large, docile breed is conveniently dual-purpose. Hens are layers of those famous chocolate-colored eggs that are darlings of the culinary world and the favorite breakfast of the fictional James Bond, Agent 007.
    Swedish Flowers
This is the beautiful, rare landrace breed with the well-known “mille fleur” (thousand flowers) plumage that blooms like a field of wildflowers. Birds may have a base color of blue, black or white with accent colors of gold, tan, straw, mocha, mahogany, red or orange plus the white-tipped feathers that are the hallmark of the breed. So lovely! Our hens lay large, velvety-textured eggs in shades of peaches and cream.
    Bielefelder
Known as the “uber-chicken,” this breed is a boon to any homesteader or small backyard keeper. It is auto-sexing, lays large to extra-large ivory to caramel orbs, and is dual-purpose. Bielefelders flaunt a complex and stunning feather pattern known in their native Germany as “kennfarbig” which is red cuckoo partridge in English.
    Heritage Rhode Island Reds
The quintessential American chicken! Our Heritage Reds are from a line that has been bred to the SOP since the 1950’s. They have excellent conformation and lay a nice tinted egg.
    Aquamarines
This designer cross of Silverudd’s Blue x Cream Legbar makes pretty birds of blue, black, and the occasional splash with soft barring or shimmering birchen and often sport a cute crest. Hens will lay mostly greens like mint, sage, moss or even olives, with some chance of blue and aqua.
    Olive Eggers
Our Olive Eggers are designer crosses of Black Copper Marans, Cream Legbars, Silverudd’s Blues and Rhode Island Reds. All our hens lay shades of green from medium spring to dark olive and are bred to a Black Copper Marans sire from a dark egg (8 on the Marans scale). Females from these eggs should lay either a darker shade of green/olive or a chocolate egg.
    ABOUT OUR FARM
Wabi Sabi Acres is a small, friendly family farm focused on rare breed chickens. It is owned and operated by two formerly suburban hippies - Hope Song and Zac Lewis. They made the move to the country several years ago, wishing to live a more sustainable lifestyle and raise their son Wolf in a place with plenty of fresh air, room to grow, roam and be at peace in nature. Along with livestock guardian dogs Crash and Xena, they lovingly care for the land and it’s fauna and flora.
    SHIPPING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We generally ship on Mondays or Tuesdays for the best chance of your eggs reaching you by the weekend.
Our fertile hatching eggs are carefully and individually wrapped, given plenty of padding, and shipped by USPS Priority Mail with air cells up. All deliveries are held for pickup at your local post office provided you message us your telephone number at the time you place your order. Otherwise, they will be delivered straight to your address. IF YOU MESSAGE US YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL WHEN PLACING YOUR ORDER, your eggs will be held at the post office to spare them any additional bouncing, jarring, rough handling, and inhospitable temperatures they might experience on an hours-long local delivery truck route. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR TELEPHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL BY MESSAGE AT THE TIME YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER, your eggs will be delivered directly to your address.
We make every effort to ensure your eggs arrive safely and in good condition, however, we have no control of them once they leave our possession. By purchasing our fertile hatching eggs, you understand and accept that we cannot guarantee how our eggs will be treated in transit through the postal system nor can we guarantee delivery within a specified time after we ship the eggs (USPS is responsible for delivery - if they fail in that regard, you may file a claim with them). Extreme temperatures, travel and flight-related air pressure changes, rough handling, delays in transit and delivery, x-ray machines and other factors can all affect the hatchability of eggs. We have no control over these factors. We also have no control of the conditions under which you incubate your eggs. FOR THESE REASONS WE DO NOT GUARANTEE HATCHABILITY. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, do not purchase this item.
    RETURN & REFUND POLICY
We stand behind our products and service and guarantee that your order will arrive intact. We pad and pack carefully. In order for this guarantee to be in effect, you must:
    1. PICK UP AT THE POST OFFICE and make sure the box is in good condition (if box is smashed, punctured or damaged in any way, you will need to file a claim with the post office - we will be happy to assist you if necessary).
    2. OPEN AND INSPECT THE CONTENTS AT THE POST OFFICE as we cannot be liable for any damage once the eggs are removed from the premises. If you receive fewer unbroken eggs than you ordered, contact us IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING YOUR INSPECTION, including picture(s) at the post office of the box(es) and all damaged eggs.
We will promptly refund you the cost of any damaged eggs (not including shipping charges).
    REVIEWS
For hatching eggs, it is protocol to leave a review (if you wish to do so) upon receipt of your eggs, based on seller meeting conditions of the sale. That is, providing, packing and padding the goods purchased in such a manner that they arrive safely, barring any mishandling in transit. Box damage and other handling issues that are the responsibility of USPS should not be held against the seller, and we will happily assist you in resolving that type of issue if it occurs. Please reach out to us if you have any concerns with our product or service as we are customer-focused and want every transaction to be a win-win for buyer and seller. Thank you!
