You are buying 12 eggs plus extras!! (Expect 15 to 18 or maybe more!) PUREBRED Marans! I am shipoing from ONLY the black copper pen and the blue birchen pen!
Majority are BCM from Greenfire's new french imports or Greenfire's B line, also a couple Bluewater and Little Peddler. These eggs from the Black pen are marked B.
What is laid for you in 48 hours of collection! I finally separated the FBCM so your getting beautiful eggs from our 3 pens. I always include extras in case of any breakage and as a thank you but with my packing breakage is extremely rare!
Eggs may be lighter or darker depending on what is laid, I generally pack the darkest I have at the time. Various aged hens at all stages of the laying cycle!They are laying good now for time of year, my roos take some comb damage in winter and in pics!
Fertility checks have been great!
Pictures of average marans egg on a flat for the incubator with several other breeds and what to expect to be shipped color wise, or darker.
Laying cycle also affects color.
I will never ship you an egg I would not incubate myself, no significant thin shells or imperfections! I hate getting those from other sellers so will not do it to you! On that note depending on season hens DO NOT wipe their feet, and those feathered feet can collect mud depending on season! Some smudges or a little dirt will not affect hatchability! We also run sprinklers and misters when hot!
I raise these birds here in Northern Idaho with only good shelter, so don't think these birds are frail. Leg feather can vary or be absent rarely, but can happen.
