    Description

12+ Unique Hatching Rainbow Mix Including Key West Hen Egg. Condition is "New". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
I started my chicken keeping in Key West when we lived there. I rescued a young hen, maybe 8 weeks old, from the canal behind my house at MM 9. We named her Rose and ordered some mixed eggs from eBay. Those included my Plymouth Barred Rock Bantams, Red Laced Wyandotte and an Easter Egger. It turns out Rose is the top of the pecking order now even with giant Brahmas and the Bresse crew.
I will include at least one of Rose’s eggs, they are amazingly a Caribbean blue. The hen is a smart forager and she goes broody once a year or so. The story of the Key West Chickens can be easily found online. It is interesting and a visit to the Southernmost Town on vacation is a great adventure for chicken lovers.

New! Black copper Maran— just started laying for us. They are a rescue, and just out of quarantine. We offer rescue services to a regional farm animal service. The Maran hens and rooster have been in quarantine for several weeks. They have gained weight and their feathers are shiny.
I can’t guarantee hatch rates but I do promise good customer service. If your shipment is damaged I’ll replace the losses for a fee. Just file a claim with USPS and I’ll ship the replacement set to you. Distance can make a difference. The further the eggs have to travel the harder it is on them. I use a foam wrap or bubble wrap each egg. I sometimes double box if I feel it will help.
Dragonborn Hatchery is part of The Rush Family Farm. We are the home of The Black Lotus Memorial Garden, dedicated to Christopher Rush and his art.
Buy eggs from us and you support the Garden and we also donate chicks to a local church family who raises them to help feed people in our community.
If you choose local pick up, you can sometimes choose eggs or chicks!
