Description
12 Fertile Hatching Eggs, Double Laced Barnvelder and Barnevelder/Black Cochin Mix. You will get a mix of eggs that are 100% Barnevelder AND a cross of Barnevelder/Black Cochin. I have Double Laced Barnevelder and Black Cochin hens in one coop with a Double Laced Barnevelder Rooster, Barney. Barney is a WONDERFUL rooster, friendly, kind and gentle with the ladies. Great genes to pass on. The eggs look similar enough that I can't sell Barnevelder eggs alone without taking the chance of getting a Black Cochin egg mixed in. The Black cochins are the sweetest ladies in the barnyard and the Barnevelders are friendly and the most beautiful. The Barnevelder/Cockin Mix that I hatched look and act like Black Cochins. These eggs come from chickens that are free range and have been fed Non-GMO and organic food all their life. I had an 100% hatch rate with the eggs I incubated last year.
I collect eggs daily and they are clean, unwashed with natural bloom on the shell. Be prepared for your eggs by having your incubator running prior to delivery. When you receive them, gently unwrap and let them sit for 24 hours big end up so the air sack can settle after shipping before placing in your incubator.
I price my eggs lower than average on eBay because I'm aware that a certain small amount of USPS shipments get really rough handling and/or go missing for a number of day before being delivered. What happens during shipment is beyond my & your control. That can mean your eggs are not viable and you are very disappointed. I try to lower your investment in the eggs when you have to take that risk.
Please note I have no control over your hatch rates. Once they leave the farm, temperatures, handling and other variables may affect the viability of the embryos and your hatch rate. There is absolutely no hatching guarantee or refund on shipped eggs. Shipped hatching eggs usually have 50% hatch rate or less. This is normal with all shipped eggs due to the many factors that eggs go through during shipping, your incubator, humidity, temperature, etc. Please only buy if you are willing to assume the risk.
Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. It's best to place your order early in the morning so I can get it to the post office before noon. Our rural post office closes at 1PM.
