Gathering eggs for your order from our family farm may take up to a few days. Most days are usually good, but there is always an occasional slow day for the hens. Orders are shipped out as soon as possible. It is preferred to ship your order on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday so that you can receive the freshest eggs possible while also trying to avoid a weekend (which is why there is a 5 day handling time for this item).

Eggs are not washed prior to shipping in order to preserve the protective natural “bloom”. Eggs are lightly cleaned, but still may have a little bit of barnyard left on them.

Please prepare your incubator and have it ready at least two days prior to the estimated delivery date. When your package arrives, carefully unwrap and allow eggs to rest for 24 hours prior to placing in your incubator.

leaves our small family farm without cracks or other issues. Remember, once in the care of USPS, we no longer have control of the package or delays. It is not possible to guarantee how eggs will be treated while in possession of the postal system or how they are incubated. Many factors can all affect the hatching ability of eggs. Packages are properly packed with extreme care to make sure they reach your home safely. Packages are also labeled to indicate their fragile and special contents.

We cannot guarantee a hatch rate on shipped eggs as there are too many variables on hatching. I can ensure all eggs are handled properly and packed carefully before shipping. Eggs will be as fresh as possible and fertility is tested frequently.

Your hatch success or fail falls upon your experience, knowledge, conditions under which the eggs are incubated, and their time spent with USPS. We cannot guarantee a hatch rate on shipped eggs as there are too many variables in hatching.
