1 Dozen Fertile Hatching Eggs. Unwashed. Organic. Free Range. Freshly laid within the past 1-2 days. The hens are Production Reds and Ameraucana (great egg layers). The rooster is Ameraucana. Most of the chicks will have Ameraucana traits. Please see photos of some chicks we hatched recently. The chicks are adorable and most with puffy cheek feathers.
We will include at least 3 green/olive eggs in your dozen, possibly more depending on how many we have available at the time you place your order.
You can expect to get 200-300 eggs per year from the hens. Hens will generally start laying after they are 6-7 months old.
*Note: The USDA prohibits shipping eggs to Zip Codes 900-935. We cannot ship to zip codes starting with these numbers.
We take extra care in packing the eggs to reduce the risk of having any eggs broken during shipping.
NOTE: We are not responsible for the loss, or damage to eggs or embryos caused by the US Postal Service. We cannot guarantee hatch rate but we've had consistent hatch rates of 70-80%.
Most eggs hatch on day 21 but some eggs can take up to two more days.
