    Description

    1 Dozen (12)
Celadon blue Coturnix quail hatching eggs. We select only the best quality blue eggs to ship. Some may have small speckles, but the majority are a clear aqua marine blue. Celadon blue eggs yield blue egg layers, some non-blue layers, and males that carry the blue egg gene.
    Our Birds
We keep separate breeding pens for each type and color of bird. Our quail are raised in deep litter pens, which replicates the ground they would live on in wild and is much easier on their feet than wire. To insure egg fertility, we maintain a breeding ration of 1 male for every 3-4 hens. Our breeders are kept in a climate controlled environment to assure their happiness and to maintain a safe temperature for the eggs. They receive mostly natural lighting, but they have led light supplementation during winter months.
    Our Blue Flock
We generally get 90% blue layers from eggs laid by our birds. Our flock of Celadon blue layers has the widest variety of colors. We have separate cages for Pastel, Buff, Egyptian, Scarlet, Tuxedo, Tibetan, Wild, Cream, and Silver blue layers. We also have some colors in the development stage that we will be releasing soon. We currently we sell Pastel and Silver Blue separately. and for assorted blue orders, we include eggs from almost every feather color. Additionally, we select our Celadon breeders for egg color. Most of our Celadon birds that lay clear and bright aqua marine celadon blue eggs with minimal speckles.
    Egg Quality
We take care to preserve the viability of our eggs. Eggs will be clean but unwashed. We collect eggs twice daily and ship eggs the same day they are laid. We also do weekly hatches to test viability. Our breeding birds are rotated out every 10-12 months to insure optimal vitality. All eggs are kept at room temperature until they are delivered.
    Shipping
Eggs are shipped in a double layer of bubble wrap via USPS Priority mail. Combined orders of 18 eggs or more will ship in foam egg shippers. We ship strategically to assure you receive the freshest eggs possible. We generally ship Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday, depending on the location and shipping speed.  Although most packages are delivered unscathed, mail delays, rough handling, x-ray, or exposure to extreme temperatures while in transit may damage the viability of hatching eggs. We strive to offer the best customer service possible. If you experience any of these issues, please feel free to contact us.
***We guarantee our eggs and offer reshipment if eggs are in transit longer than 6 days or if eggs loose viability due to unfavorable shipping conditions.***
